With roots that stretch from the heart of Buffalo, New York, to the quaint town of Brundidge, Alabama, Marcus' journey through music began in 2003, and it's been a thrilling ride ever since. From marching band to midi programming, this ascension was fate.
His devotion to percussion started early, and from the start, music served as his sanctuary, his guiding rhythm through life's ups and downs. In 2009, he delved into music production, setting the stage for a remarkable odyssey. Marcus' academic pursuit began in 2011, as he enrolled in courses at Troy University, and his passion only intensified. In 2013, he ventured to the bustling musical hub of Atlanta, joining the Art Institute, where his talents began to shine.
It was at this juncture, while interning at Soul Asylum Studios, that Marcus' star truly ascended. Over two remarkable years, he cultivated a loyal following and cemented his name in the music realm. Renowned for his prowess as an audio engineer and music producer, his catalog burgeoned, bearing witness to his undeniable talent.
Life took unexpected turns in 2015, and Marcus had to put his musical dreams on hold, a sacrifice that only fueled his determination. This was a 6-year hiatus from music. A newfound home emerged at Full Sail University in 2021, He graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor’s in Audio Production, only to immediately embark on a Masters in Entertainment Business. His ambitions had outgrown the confines of mere hobbyist beat-making; he aspired to helm a music label, to become a true music executive.
Amidst the crescendo of his career, Marcus harbors a dream – to launch "Soundzz Publishing Company." His vision is to create a haven for emerging artists, a place where their talents are nurtured, their voices amplified.
